Alkın Kompresör San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. continues to advance its activities in the defense industry in line with Türkiye’s vision of developing domestic national technologies. The company proudly carries forward its defense industry journey, which began in 2007 with the National Ship (MİLGEM) Project, has since successfully completed numerous critical defense programs.
In 2016, Alkın Kompresör achieved a significant milestone by designing manufacturing Türkiye’s first domestically developed compact, water-cooled high-pressure air compressor with a capacity of 1,500 l/min, intended for submarine applications. Most recently, Alkın Kompresör took part in the TCG ANADOLU (L-400) Multi-Purpose Amphibious Assault Ship Project, delivering key onboard systems.
Within the scope of this project, Alkın Kompresör successfully supplied a total of 12 compressor systems, consisting of high-pressure breathing air systems operating between 0–350 bar, medium- low-pressure compressor systems, nitrogen generation systems, all designed for use onboard the vessel.
With a broad product portfolio serving multiple industries a strong commitment to fast high-quality service, Alkın Kompresör continues its manufacturing activities at its new production facility located in Torbalı / İzmir, covering 32,000 m² in total, including 10,000 m² of indoor manufacturing space.
With a localization rate exceeding 80%, increasing export capacity, the distinction of being Türkiye’s first only manufacturer of high-pressure breathing air compressors, Alkın Kompresör maintains a strong position in both domestic international markets.
The company actively enhances its global brand visibility through participation in major international fairs, conferences, symposiums. In recent years, Alkın Kompresör has represented Türkiye at leading U.S.-based industry events such as FABTECH, Best Practices, the DEMA Show, receiving highly positive feedback from global stakeholders.
As a result of this growing international recognition, Alkın Kompresör has recently entered into a solution partnership agreement with SPEE3D, a global leader in Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing (CSAM) technology, specializing in patented metal 3D printers integrated manufacturing systems.
Under this partnership, Alkın Kompresör SPEE3D have initiated joint efforts to develop a custom-designed compressor exclusively for use in SPEE3D’s metal additive manufacturing systems. This strategic collaboration was officially announced at the RAPID + TCT Conference, held in Chicago, USA, from May 2–4, 2023, SPEE3D showcased its technologies solutions alongside its valued partners.
Mr. Nitin G. Shanbhag, CEO of Alkın Compressors USA, attended the RAPID + TCT Conference welcomed visitors at the SPEE3D booth. Mr. Shanbhag expressed his satisfaction with the strategic partnership established between ALKIN & SPEE3D, emphasizing the importance of this collaboration in advancing innovative manufacturing technologies.
